The club auditorium was transformed to evoke country life with saddles from the Tack Shack, hay and replica props. The show opened strongly with Jacques McCallum Lind singing the bluegrass number “Man of constant sorrow” from the film “O brother, where art thou ?”
A key focus of the show was collaborations and many of the young artists performed together for the very first time. Jacques teamed up with Hannah Collinson to present an outstanding version of Scott McCleary’s song Dirty Dishes.
Twins, Moniqua and Jocasta Demetriou were two of the multi talented collective members who shone on the night. They did the riverbank stomp and harmonised together in two songs.
One of the collective’s youngest members Madee Morrow confidently lead the PAC models parading costumes and outfits from Gorgeous Gussy. She later joined two other members of the PAC troupe to do the “hoe down throw down”.
Instruments played during the night included the keyboard, ukelele, banjo, and guitar. Drumming group Afinca presented their unique performance with an impression of old steam trains and horses using percussion instruments and drum rhythms.
